Wordless Wednesday: Beervana 2019

Saturday saw us head to Beervana, the annual beer festival here in Wellington. This year there were over 60 breweries from New Zealand and overseas offering up all sorts of beers from stouts to sours to pale ales to strange new tastes, some better than others. Here are a few pictures of the event.

I tried the American Pie…and wished I hadn’t…not my favourite of the day
Panhead, based in Upper Hutt (I tried the pale ale)
Lunch – steak sandwich from Boulcott Street Bistro
Yeastie Boys with karaoke
The British contingent, including Fierce Beer from Scotland
Chernobyl meets Abandoned Brewery (good beer!)
And oysters with Abandoned Brewery stout
There are always kilts at Beervana for some reason

  1. You’ve got to love an event that features men in skirts. 😉 Looks like a very good time was had by all. In Maine, breweries have really taken off, and they have added a lot of pep, not to mention income, for many Maine communities.

  2. I’m not really a huge beer fan, I’ll have the odd one on a hot day though but I”m eyeing up those oysters.
