So…here we are again…Monday evening and a time to look back on the small pleasures of the past week. The featured image is of some of the fruits of the season – apples, feijoas and pears – along with garlic and a little bag of Māori potatoes.
First up, last Monday, I flew up to Hamilton. There was a stunning sunset to look at, and you can see the moon too if you look carefully. (Note…the journey home on Thursday was quite different, with low visibility and a chance of us not being able to even land in Wellington…..)
These pink oyster mushrooms are so beautiful and so hard to resist. They also make you realise how wonderful nature is to produce such works of art.
Back in February, we had a gorgeous walk over at Makara, and since we have a friend from Scotland staying with us right now (another small pleasure), we took a short trip out there to enjoy the autumn sunshine and wonderful views.
We also drove over to Mount Victoria, for a classic view over the city. It was, as you can see, a lovely autumn afternoon.
And that’s it for this week. What were your small pleasures of the past week?
Thanks to Mani over at A New Life Wandering for the original idea.
