If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea

It’s been a couple of months since I did one of these posts, and having just read Don’t Give A Jam’s post, thought is was time for another one.

If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…we would talk about the weather, about the hail and thunderstorm earlier in the week, about how we are really feeling that winter is on its way.

If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…we would talk about Charlie, about how he got into a fight with Casper when he turned up at his house.  About how he lost his collar, and disappeared for over 36 hours.  I would say I was so grateful for Casper’s owner for letting me know, and for following up as to how he is.  I would also tell you how Charlie is well known and loved in our neighbourhood, and that we are so happy to have him home.

If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…we would talk about blogs and blogging, about social media influencers and which ones we like, which ones are looking tired and which ones have lost their way.  I would tell you that my three current favourites are Justine Leconte, Use Less on YouTube and Husbands Who Cook blog and on Instagram.

If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…we would say how we were looking forward to the weekend, even though we had no fixed plans.

If we…wait, why don’t you stay for some butternut squash soup, sourdough bread from Shelley Bay Baker, and some good cheese, with pears and apples as needed?
