The week seems to have flown by, and here we are again for a round of this week’s small pleasures. Not much has been happening to blog about, but there are always some little things that bring delight regardless. You can feel the first breath of autumn, with cooler and darker mornings, and the first feijoas in the shops.
A beautiful morning walk to work
There have been some lovely sunrises and sunsets, and I managed to grab a quick picture of these clouds on the way to work. Fantastic colours and shapes.

These cushions
I always admire these cushions at The Lighthouse Cinema. Just the right retro feel. We went to see ‘The Last Days of Stalin’ on Sunday: an interesting film.

This week’s chocolate
Dessert on Saturday was blueberries and a piece of this chocolate from the Wellington Chocolate Factory. I usually prefer dark chocolate, but this is good quality milk chocolate, topped with crunchy Anzac biscuit. The wrapper design is fantastic too. Take a close look!

Cooking
I made some quick coconut and cranberry butter cookies on Sunday for a bake sale at work, and then spent some time making a really good, though I say so myself, moussaka from this recipe from The Guardian. If you don’t know the dish, it is layers of aubergine and lamb mince, topped with a rich, cheesy sauce. Need I say more?

Thanks to Mani over at A New Life Wandering for the original idea.
