Queen Victoria Market

One place you should visit when in Melbourne is Queen Victoria Market.  One half is stalls selling belts, cheap souvenirs, gardening gloves and every thing else you could possibly imagine.  The other half though is what I was interested in – the food halls. There is everything here, from deli counters, meat, vegetable and seafood. Take your time, and wander around.,

The seafood counters were amazing – so much to chose from, with everything from salmon to sea-urchins.

Pippies and various fish (note – no sand in the shellfish)

There were also counters and counters of meat of every sort…from goat to beef, from kangaroo to lamb.

Oh how I wished I could have brought some things back to New Zealand!  Ah well….
