If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea, we would be making ourselves comfortable on this, the second day of winter. We would light a scented candle (French Pear from Ecoya), and laugh at how the Danish word ‘hygge’ has suddenly become fashionable in English, even though people have always enjoyed cosiness and friendship. Next, it will be the Swedish ‘fika’, even though people have been having morning tea (or coffee) for ages too.
If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea, I would show you a new tea I bought, green tea with mango, which I tell you is very refreshing and right for a sunny afternoon.

If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea, we would talk about my trip to Auckland this week, and how the flights were smooth and that the work part had gone well, and how we had a fun walk along K-Road in the evening.

If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea, I would tell you about my shopping this week, some of which I wrote about in a (different for me) blog post on Wednesday. I also bought a skirt in a sale for half price and two more books, and how for the rest of June shopping will have to stop. You just laugh.
If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea, I would tell you that food shopping doesn’t count, and that I had got hold of some of the new peanut butter from Fix and Fogg, peanut butter honey, that tastes as good as if you had spread peanut butter and honey on a hot piece of toast separately.
If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…we would realise that the sun was over the yardarm and that it was time for a pre-dinner sherry. We would talk about the long weekend ahead, for Monday is a holiday in New Zealand, how we hope the weather will be good and how happy we are it is Friday evening.
