Cee’s Share Your World Challenge: Anzac Day, 25th April

Good morning everyone!  It is Anzac Day here in New Zealand, and also Australia.  Today is the day we remember all New Zealanders killed in war as well as  honouring returned servicemen and women.  The date itself marks the anniversary of the landing of New Zealand and Australian soldiers – known as the Anzacs – on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915. There are dawn services all over the country, and the day is a public. holiday.

I always see Cee’s Challenge in the morning, since we are many hours ahead of the US, and as I am at home, sipping my morning cup of tea, thought it the perfect time to have a go a this week’s challenge, which I haven’t done for ages.

Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?

Water.  However, I love tea – black, green, flavoured…I have a large collection in my cupboard, from a pina colada green tea to ordinary breakfast style tea.

A cup of tea solves everything

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I….

…done a bungy jump, nor would I ever want to…

If you could be given any gift what would it be?

Gosh…what a difficult question!  If a practical thing, then a new cooker,  If something abstract, then peace and calm.

What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep, toss and turn, or get up and try to do something productive?

Toss and turn, then put on a podcast that sends me to sleep.

Sweet dreams

What are you grateful for from last week?

I’ve been sick all week, but found some small pleasures to celebrate in this post here.  I am grateful that I live in New Zealand in these turbulent times.

What are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Always the weekend…and looking forward to feeling better and having more energy.

Thanks Cee for the Share Your World idea!
