We’ve been having several days of warm, summer weather here in Wellington and long may it last. It’s time time for Cee’s weekly challenge too (written on Tuesday evening down here).
If you had a shelf for your three most special possessions (not including photos, electronic devices and things stored on them, people or animals), what would you put on it?
I read the challenge questions in the morning, and then think about them during the day (we are 18 hours ahead of Washington DC and 21 ahead of Seattle). I decided on a blue glass that came from Poland, a Swedish Dalarna horse and a vase of flowers, though I didn’t buy any at the weekend so substituted a blue glass vase instead. And yes…I do love that colour blue.

If you had a box labelled ‘happiness’, what would you put in it?
A sunny beach, a good book and the promise of some good seafood and wine later.
What do you want more of in your life?
It is easier to think of what things I want less of, but I’ll say more time to do the things I really enjoy.
Daily Life List: What do you do on an average day? Make a list of your usual activities you do each day.
Weekday – wake up, check emails, news and Facebook to see what has happened while we were sleeping, get up, shower, listen to ‘The Archers’, eat breakfast, go to work, go for a walk at lunch time, return to work then either go home, go to Pilates, go to Xtend Barre or tomorrow I’m off to see a dance performance. Evenings – dinner and some sort of television/film/Netflix, reading blogs, catching up on social media.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week,
Having, or rather making time, just to flop with a book and make a cake.
and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
We have another long weekend – Saturday is Waitangi Day (holiday to celebrate the signing of the Waitangi Treaty in 1840 – we visited the site in 2014) and so Monday is a holiday.
3 things on a shelf: Carrots love Tomatoes book, pen, paper (drawing or writing)
Happiness box: my grandsons laughter
More in my life: time
grateful for last week: nice weather
want this week: all our seed sprouts to get going
