Share Your World: Week 45

This week’s challenge questions from Cee’s Photography has some good questions to think about.

What is your favorite color?

My favourite colour is blue – which blue is hard to pinpoint, but I guess the NZ sky when the sun shines is one near perfect shade.

In what do you find the simplest of joys?

Sitting on the terrace watching what is going on – birds, insects, visiting cats.  It really takes away any negative thoughts.

Would you prefer a reading nook or an art, craft, photography studio?

Reading nook.  A window seat with cushions and small table beside it.  A desk nearby if I get the urge to jot down some words.

What is at least one of your favorite quotes?

Hard one!  I like this as it sums up my home town well.

“Crabbie’s Green Ginger Wine, those wonderful evocative words, balm to the troubled Edinburgh soul, metaphorical oil upon metaphorically troubled waters! And redolent of everything quintessentially Edinburgh: slightly sharp, slightly disapproving, slightly superior” (Alexander McCall Smith)

But also this

“And intend to run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth (from the poem by Jenny Joseph “Warning”)

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week

Realising that I am about to enter a new and interesting phase in my life as I start not only a new job, but a new career in a couple of weeks.

What are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

A massage on Wednesday and the weekend – no special plans, but that is part of the fun!
