This is my 100th post on the blog! Not sure if that is cause for celebration or what, but there we are, 100 posts about our new life in New Zealand.
Summer is well and truly here, and we have been enjoying some beautiful strawberries, peaches, asparagus, new potatoes and broad beans. I know I go on about food here, but really the produce here is so good. It is easy to rustle up a delicious meal of some cold meats, potato salad, asparagus and fresh fruit all washed down with some rose wine, such as Invivo Sophie’s Rose from Marlborough.
It is getting closer to Christmas, so we have been trying to get ourselves organised. Today, Sunday, we bought a new artificial Christmas tree. In Europe we always had a real one, but here we’ve decided just to go for the easy option living here. It seemed very strange to buy a tree, crackers and a small barbeque all at the same time, while wearing shorts!

Actually, I’ve done all my Christmas shopping, so now just have to get myself organised getting the house ready. Our box of decorations has been sitting under a table in the living room since we arrived as there is just no storage space in the house, so guess it is about time I sorted them out and see what has survived and what has not!
